What is the Macho Libre concept inspired by?

Our concept is inspired by the colorful and exciting world of Lucha Libre, Mexican professional wrestling. Just as Lucha Libre is full of energy, color, and passion, so is our food and restaurant experience.

What does the name Macho Libre mean?

Macho Libre is a play on words combining the strength and boldness of 'macho' with the freedom and excitement of 'libre' (free). It represents our bold, free-spirited approach to authentic Mexican cuisine.

What type of food does Macho Libre serve?

We serve authentic Mexican food with a fast-casual twist. Our menu features burritacos, mucho burros (large burritos), bowls, quesadillas, nachos, street tacos, and more, all made with fresh ingredients and authentic recipes.

Is Macho Libre fast food?

No! We are a fast-casual restaurant. While we serve quickly, our food is made fresh to order with quality ingredients. We are NOT fast food. Think of us as the champion of quick, authentic Mexican food.

What is the restaurant style?

Our restaurant features a vibrant, colorful atmosphere inspired by Mexican wrestling arenas. We have an open kitchen so you can watch your food being prepared, just like watching a live match!

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes! We offer veggie mix as a meat option, cheese quesadillas, bean and cheese burritacos, and our bowl can be customized without meat. We also have rajas con queso in our Champion Burro lineup.

Do you have healthy options?

Absolutely! Our bowls with fresh spinach, our use of fresh ingredients, and our grilled proteins make for delicious and nutritious meals. We use quality ingredients without heavy processing.

Can you accommodate special diets?

We try our best to accommodate dietary needs. Many of our items can be customized. Let our team know about any allergies or dietary restrictions and we will do our best to help.

What is the difference between a burritaco and a mucho burro?

A burritaco is served on a 6-inch flour tortilla - perfect for a quick, flavorful bite. A mucho burro (Champion Burro) is a 14-inch flour, spinach, or chipotle tortilla stuffed with your choice of fillings - the heavyweight champion!

How many locations do you have?

We are currently located at 5834 Babcock Rd in San Antonio, TX. We are focused on making this location the champion before expanding the ring!

Is Macho Libre BYOB?

We have a selection of Mexican sodas, aguas frescas (horchata, jamaica, fresa, chia-limon), and bottled water. Please check with the restaurant for current beverage policies.

What makes Macho Libre different from other Mexican restaurants?

Our unique Lucha Libre theme, our open kitchen concept, our fresh daily-made tortillas, and our authentic recipes learned directly from families across Mexico. We bring the spectacle of the arena to the dining table!

Do you have desserts?

Yes! We serve empanadas, arroz con leche, flan, paletas (Mexican popsicles), mangonadas, cheesecake, and fresas con crema. Sweet endings for every champion!

Yes! We have a convenient drive-thru for when you need your Macho Libre favorites on the go.
